// Journal
Hello and how do you do? It’s very nice to meet you here, in the pages of my Journal — the place where my brain spills its contents in tidy little blog posts so you don’t have to rummage through the recycling bin of my thoughts. Here I record everything from earth-shattering revelations (the biscuit tin is not, in fact, bottomless) to microscopic musings (should plants be charged rent for sunlight?).
No subscription, no secret handshake, no complicated ritual — just open access to my diary-shaped ramblings. Browse at will, linger on the questionable poetry, chuckle at the minor catastrophes, and feel free to leave with more questions than you arrived with. If nothing else, I promise a light entertainment warranty and at least one genuinely awkward anecdote per visit.

Oh dear, what can the matter be?
I am very well and thankful that I am here at all after my little escapade during the week. Also, I'm thankful that Spouse is speaking to me at all. He is … just. So, what happened to bring this state of affairs about? …
The Lady in the Red Car
For some weeks now, a mysterious woman in a red car has been tooting and waving at Spouse if their paths cross anywhere in the village. Mysteriously, I am never with my spouse when these events occur…
ROLL UP, ROLL UP ! For the Pothole Lottery

Renewing a Prescription
All I had to do was fill out a repeat prescription form, toddle up the road to the medical centre with it and hand it in at the Reception desk. Or, so I thought…
